1. Chili crab – Singapore

Chilli crab is a popular seafood dish that originates from Singapore. It's a delicious and iconic dish in Singaporean cuisine, often enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. The dish is made using mud crabs that are stir-fried in a semi-thick, sweet, savoury, and spicy tomato and chili-based sauce.

 

2. Tom Yum Goong – Thailand

Tom Yum Goong, often simply referred to as "Tom Yum," is a famous Thai soup known for its bold and vibrant flavors. It's a hot and sour soup that typically features shrimp (goong) as its main protein source. The soup is characterized by its spicy, tangy, and aromatic profile, resulting from the use of ingredients like lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, and chili peppers.


 

3. Satay – Malaysia

Satay is a popular Southeast Asian dish that consists of skewered and grilled meat, typically served with a flavorful peanut sauce. It's commonly found in countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines, each with its own variation of the dish. 5. Nasi Goreng – Indonesia

Nasi Goreng is a popular Indonesian dish that translates to "fried rice" in English. It's a flavorful and aromatic fried rice dish that's commonly enjoyed throughout Indonesia and other parts of Southeast Asia. Nasi Goreng can be made with a variety of ingredients and is a great way to use up leftover rice.


 

6. Curry – India

Indian curry" is a broad term that encompasses a wide variety of dishes originating from India, known for their rich, aromatic, and flavourful profiles. Indian cuisine is incredibly diverse, and curries can be made with different meats, vegetables, and legumes, using various combinations of spices and ingredients. Here, I'll provide a basic overview and recipe for a classic Indian chicken curry.

Sushi is a popular Japanese dish that consists of vinegared rice combined with various ingredients such as seafood, vegetables, and occasionally tropical fruits. Sushi is often enjoyed with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce. It has become internationally recognized and loved for its artful presentation and delicate flavors. There are several types of sushi, each with its own unique preparation and style.


 


8. Pho – Vietnam

Pho (pronounced "fuh") is a traditional Vietnamese noodle soup that's beloved for its flavorful broth, tender meat, and aromatic herbs. It's considered one of the most iconic and popular dishes in Vietnamese cuisine. Pho is typically enjoyed as a hearty meal, often for breakfast or lunch, and it's known for its comforting and warming qualities.
